Mount Pleasant Towne Centre’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Returns Nov. 23
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre’s free annual tree lighting and signature holiday kickoff event, Lights Up, returns on Saturday, Nov. 23! You won’t want to miss this year’s dazzling laser light show, live performances and family-friendly activities, including a very special visit from Santa Claus himself.
Beginning at 6 p.m., guests can enjoy pre-lighting festivities, including a performance from the East Cooper Baptist Church Choir & Orchestra and music from Charleston-based band 40 Years Too Late. Families can snack on bites from local favorites like Burtons Grill & Bar, Zimo’s Gyros, Holy City Popcorn, Holy City Homemade Italian Ice, Delights Desserts & Coffee, & Lobster, Taternator and Nothing Bundt Cakes while kiddos enjoy face painting from Faces by Faith, balloon animals by Carol’s Balloon Art and fairy hair by The Sparkle Bar. The highly anticipated tree lighting will take place around 7:30 p.m. to mark the start of the holiday season in Towne Centre!
This event supports Camp Rise Above, a local nonprofit that provides life-changing and confidence-building camp experiences to children facing serious illnesses, disabilities and challenges. During Lights Up, volunteers from Camp Rise Above will sell holiday headbands and wands to raise money for the organization so every guest can glow for a good cause!
Hosted by Brian Cleary of 92.5 Kickin’ Country, Lights Up is presented by Starling Chevrolet and Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital and is proudly sponsored by AV Connections.
