Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Hosts Weekly SWEAT Fitness Series throughout September
WHAT:
Calling all fitness lovers! Mount Pleasant Towne Centre invites you to participate in the complimentary Sweat + Wellness Fitness Series with Athleta every Wednesday in September at 6 p.m. Grab a yoga mat and join local fitness instructors live and in person at The Oaks for a September-long celebration.
Kimberly Markin, an avid yoga lover for over 20 years and instructor at Yoga Alliance, will kick off the series on Sept. 1 with a Power Flow Yoga class. Guests should come prepared for a fun, creative and sweaty Vinyasa flow that will leave you feeling stronger in the body, mind and spirit. Kim received her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training from The Works in Charleston and is looking forward to bringing her practice to the Mount Pleasant community in September.
On Sept. 8 and Sept. 29, Megan Rasmussen from The Method studio will lead yoga sculpt classes that incorporate a fierce fusion of yoga, weights, hit and muscle actions drills set completely to the beat of the music. This non-stop, upbeat, sweaty flow is for everyBODY and every level of fitness. Attendees have the option to bring light dumbbells (3lbs or 5lbs) to incorporate into their flow session.
Jessica Youngblood from SPENGA will add to the lineup on Sept. 15 with a HITT Yoga session. SPENGA studio combines the three pillars of fitness – spin, strength and yoga, delivering workouts that maximize results without overworking the body. The SWEAT series class will be a combo class focusing on Yoga and Strength.
On Sept. 22, Erica Sorkin, a 15-year fitness guru from Pivotal Fitness will elevate the experience with a High Class aerobics session. Participants will enjoy a bigger, better and higher experience with a modern twist on aerobics in a non-stop action-packed class of cardio and toning tracks that will take your fitness to the next level. Attendees at all levels of fitness can join their neighbors for an equipment free class entirely focused on the body, not even a mat is necessary.
